THE NABC FOOTBALL LEAGUE
This league currently forms part of the Northumberland Association of Clubs for Young People (NACYP). The NABC achieved it's 60th anniversary in 2007 where the league held the inaugural 'Sportsman's Dinner' as it's main highlight. The success of which has resulted in this becoming an annual event to help raise funds for The NABC Football League.
As a league, we are proud of the role we have played in helping to support the young people of this region and provide the opportunity to develop their footballing skills. We are constantly working to encourage this to be fostered in a safe, friendly & non-threatening environment.
With leagues covering players aged between 10-17 years of age, we are proud to be the largest grassroots football league in the North East. The future development of the league is looking very secure, with new sponsors on board from Pinpoint Recruitment, up to 6 divisions in soime of younger age ranges and a very healthy membership of approximately 75 Clubs, represented by over 380 teams and almost 6000 youngsters playing each week during the season.
Over the previous years, an online presence has become more of a neccessity as we look to develop the way in which we communicate with players, coaches, parents and the general public. When this site was first launched in January 2003 as a trial we attracted just over 10,000 visitors in the last 5 months of the season.
As the site has developed and communications improved, we currently average over 35,000 PER MONTH ! (figures for 07/08 season)
