THE PIN POINT RECRUITMENT NABC FOOTBALL LEAGUE

The Pinpoint NABC League will start to accept players registrations from Saturday 26th July 2008 and we will NOT accept any registrations prior to this date.

As a follow up to recent publicity the NABC have received some answers to questions raised about roped off pitches.

1. Who provides the barriers?
• Barriers to be provided by the NFA
2. Are there cost implications?
• Originally the NFA hoped they would be free of charge, but clubs wanting them would receive a 50% grant meaning the cost would be £35.00.
3. Who puts them up / stores them?
• They would belong to clubs, therefore they would store and erect them.
4. Which clubs/pitches/matches will be used?
• Hopefully it would start at Under 11 level. The actual leagues have yet to be decided, but maybe all of them.
5. How will this be monitored?
• We may be able to put a link between NABC and NFA websites where people can express their views. This will be monitored by the NFA.

After speaking to Stuart Leason, some clubs in other areas are already operating the system by painting lines on one side of the pitch or using cones with the subs & coaches standing on the other side. This would mean little or no cost to the clubs.

The following information was received Wed 16 July from the Northumberland FA.

Substitutes

Under 17s to use any 3 from 7 named substitutes to comply with Laws of Association Football Law 3. A case for repeated substitutes at under 18 has been made to FIFA but has not been agreed yet.

The Match Ball

The home team must provide at least TWO match footballs fit for play and the referee shall make a report to the Competition if the footballs are unsuitable. The size of football to be used:

• Size 4 for those playing Under 11,12,13 & 14 age groups
• Size 5 for all other age groups.
